The inn was originally built in 1886
as a home for a whaling captain and later converted into an inn. We
are nestled on a charming street where many sea captains built their
mansions. There are over 800 historic homes on the island, that makes
it the largest collection of pre-civil war homes in the country. Not
to mention the most beautiful and unspoiled 52 miles of beaches in
