Room 5 occupies the northeast corner of the inn’s second (top) floor overlooking Centre Street and Chester Street. The feather-topped queen bed is angled into one corner with a Monet-inspired mural hand-painted on the wall behind. The white-and-pink down duvet matches nicely the high-pile wool area rug which is on top of naturally distressed pine flooring. There’s an armoire for hanging clothes and a dresser with four drawers to store your folded clothing. A 20” flat screen TV rests on a wall-mounted shelf. A 36” long varnished wooden shelf has a barstool and your personal refrigerator- freezer tucked underneath. The moderate size bath features gleaming white tile and solid nickel fittings and fixtures everywhere. The shower has a solid, tempered glass door. The entire room features thoughtfully placed contemporary lighting fixtures, including an over-the-bed reading light. On one wall there is a particularly attractive grouping of framed art prints with scenes of old Nantucket. There is a porcelain pedestal sink and two sizable shelves for holding your toiletries.
